Sushi Sandwich
Do you want to enjoy delicious Asian food but don’t have the time and energy to stand by the stove? The sushi sandwich is the perfect option for you. This easy-to-make and tasty sushi sandwich combines your favorite sushi ingredients in a convenient and appetizing form. You can use any of your preferred sushi ingredients, but in this recipe, we’re making a "Philadelphia-style" version.
Preparation time:
- 10 minutes to cook the rice, 5 minutes to prepare the sandwich
Ingredients for 2 sandwiches:
Instructions:
- Cook the sushi rice. We use a rice cooker on the "rice" setting for 9 minutes.
- Cut the avocado in half, remove the skin, and mash it with a fork until it becomes a puree.
- Cut the nori sheet from the middle to center, creating a cut halfway through the sheet.
- Fill each quarter of the nori sheet with ingredients: rice, avocado, salmon, and cream cheese.
- Fold each quarter over the other to form a sandwich.
- Cut the sandwich in half.
- Serve the sushi sandwich with soy sauce.
