About Us
Hello, we are Vova and Alina,
or as it says on the first pages of our medical records — a person with celiac disease and a type 1 diabetes. We are the authors of this blog. If you have already visited this page, let's get to know each other a little better.
Our language of love is food, so when we learned about celiac disease in our family, it was almost a tragedy.
Additionally, we often had to deal with the misunderstanding of relatives and friends about why we bring our own food and utensils to gatherings and why we don't eat at family feasts. Eating out or ordering food at restaurants became practically impossible because, even if there was a gluten-free option on the menu, cross-contamination with utensils or gluten-containing products could still trigger a reaction.
We could have just given up, but that's not our way of dealing with life's challenges. After reading dozens of articles about proper nutrition, especially gluten-free nutrition, we set up a small home gluten-free kitchen and began searching for recipes and products that would fit our new lifestyle.
Here, we encountered another problem: most products from the supermarket or the special health food sections did not have enough fiber. The main substitutes were various forms of rice or highly processed foods. Relying solely on these products was also a poor choice. So we started searching for more information and adapting our favorite recipes to our new reality. Every recipe you see on this page has been meticulously developed in our home kitchen and personally tested for allergens. Our website has special labels to help you quickly find a recipe to your liking.
Happy cooking, and may no health conditions prevent you from enjoying your favorite foods!
